This Privacy Policy outlines the handling of user information and data within the photo comparison application "DiffPix" ("the Service") provided by us. The Service refers to our website only to view the Terms of Use, this Privacy Policy, and notices; any information separately collected on the website is governed by the website’s own privacy policy.
Article 1 (Handling of Image and Video Data)
Image and video data generated and edited within the Service are processed entirely on the user's device and are not transmitted to or stored on our servers or any third-party servers.
Article 2 (Limited Purpose of Data Use)
All data processed within the Service is intended solely to assist with creating before/after comparison images and slider videos, and with on-device saving and sharing. Data is not used for any other purposes.
Article 3 (Prohibition of Third-party Data Provision)
Image and video data (user-generated content) handled by the Service are not shared with any third parties.
Article 4 (Regarding iCloud Integration)
Future updates of the Service may introduce iCloud integration for features such as project-history management. If enabled in the app settings, relevant data may be transmitted from the user's device to servers managed by Apple and securely stored there. Additionally, this data will be synchronized across multiple user devices through the user's personal iCloud account.
Article 5 (Feedback Functionality)
The Service provides a website contact form (Wix) and an in-app anonymous feedback option (Firebase Firestore) solely for improving the Service.
1. Data sent via the website contact form may be retained on cloud servers operated by Wix.com Ltd. (United States, Ireland, Israel) for up to 6 months after the inquiry is resolved.
2. In-app anonymous feedback is stored on Google LLC’s Firebase Firestore. Users must not enter personal information such as name, contact details, or facial images; if such data are submitted, we delete them without delay.
3. The processing of inquiries and feedback data is carried out under our legitimate interests for service improvement pursuant to GDPR Art. 6(1)(f).
4. Wix’s handling of the data is governed by Wix.com’s privacy policy and data-processing terms. Google LLC’s handling of in-app anonymous feedback is governed by Google’s applicable terms and privacy policies.
Article 6 (App Analytics)
To improve functionality and troubleshoot issues, the Service may use analytics services such as Firebase Analytics (Google LLC) and Mixpanel (Mixpanel, Inc.). The collected information consists of device/app usage events and is not intended to directly identify users. Where required by local laws, analytics runs based on user consent.
Article 7 (Advertising)
The Service may deliver advertisements via Google AdMob. For details on the information collected, purposes of use, and sharing with third parties, please refer to Google’s policies:

Article 8 (GDPR Compliance)
We comply with the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and process the data of users residing within the European Economic Area (EEA) fairly and lawfully. Users have the right under GDPR to access, rectify, or request deletion of their personal data, and we will implement necessary measures accordingly.
Support inquiry e-mails, which may contain the sender’s name or e-mail address, are processed on the basis of our legitimate interests (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)) and are deleted within 6 months after the inquiry is resolved, or sooner upon the user’s request.
Article 9 (CCPA Compliance)
We comply with the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) for users residing in California. We do not sell user personal information and will respond appropriately to user requests for disclosure or deletion of their personal information.
Article 10 (Changes to the Privacy Policy)
We reserve the right to amend this Privacy Policy as necessary. Significant changes will be communicated through our website or within the application, and the revised policy will be effective immediately upon posting.
