BeatLuster License Guide

Videos created and exported with BeatLuster may be posted on social media, monetized on video-sharing platforms, used for advertising or promotion, and used in client work, except when they contain a demo track preloaded in the app.

However, the visual expressions provided by BeatLuster’s visualizer may not be sold or distributed as stock footage, video materials, loop materials, templates, presets, or other materials intended for reuse by third parties in other creative works.

Basic Rules for Permitted Use
You may use, sell, or deliver completed works.
You may not distribute them as materials intended for reuse in other creative works.

This Guide explains in plain language the permitted uses set forth in the BeatLuster Terms of Service. The BeatLuster Terms of Service govern the legal terms of use, and if there is any inconsistency between this Guide and the Terms of Service, the Terms of Service will prevail.

What You May Do

Completed videos containing visual expressions provided by BeatLuster’s visualizer may be used for the following purposes:

• Personal use

• Posting or distributing on Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X, and other social media or video-sharing services

• Monetization on YouTube and other services

• Advertising, publicity, and promotion of music, artists, products, services, events, and similar subjects

• Commercial content for companies, organizations, or individuals

• Producing videos commissioned by third parties

• Delivering completed videos to clients

• Selling completed works created for a specific song, product, service, event, or commissioned project

• Using completed videos on websites, in apps, digital advertising, in-store displays, event screenings, and other media

You do not need to apply to the operator of BeatLuster or obtain separate permission each time you use a video. You may use completed videos as long as you agree to and comply with the BeatLuster Terms of Service.

If you sell or deliver a completed video, the purchaser or recipient may also use the completed video within the purpose of that sale or delivery.

 

What You May Not Do

You may not use BeatLuster in the following ways:

• Separate or extract visual expressions provided by BeatLuster from a completed video and use them independently

• Sell, list, or distribute videos as stock footage

• Sell or distribute videos as general-purpose video materials or background materials

• Sell or distribute videos as loop materials

• Sell or distribute videos as templates or presets

• Offer videos as products primarily intended to be re-edited or reused by third parties

• Sublicense the visual expressions provided by BeatLuster to third parties

• Extract or reuse BeatLuster’s programs, source code, shaders, rendering processes, or other internal elements

Purchasers or recipients of completed videos may not separate BeatLuster’s visual expressions from the video or use them as materials for reuse in other creative works.

About Audio and Artwork You Import

The license granted by BeatLuster applies to the visual expressions provided by BeatLuster’s visualizer.

Codepaint Inc. does not grant rights to use materials that users import into BeatLuster, including:

• Songs, sound recordings, vocals, sound effects, samples, loops, and other audio materials

• Photos, illustrations, cover artwork, logos, and other artwork

• Likenesses, names, brands, trademarks, and other elements involving third-party rights

Users are responsible for confirming and obtaining any copyrights, neighboring rights, portrait rights, privacy rights, or other rights or permissions necessary for the intended posting, distribution, advertising, sale, monetization, or other use.

The fact that BeatLuster technically allows you to create and export a video does not mean that you have the rights necessary to publish, sell, or monetize that video on social media, video-sharing services, or other third-party services.

The terms of service, copyright policies, music usage rules, and other rules of the service where you post the video may also apply separately.

Rights in BeatLuster’s Visual Expressions

Rights in the visual expressions provided by BeatLuster’s visualizer belong to Codepaint Inc. or other lawful rights holders.

Users are granted the right to use these visual expressions as part of completed videos within the scope set out in this Guide and the BeatLuster Terms of Service. This license does not transfer ownership of the rights in BeatLuster’s visual expressions themselves to the user.

Use After a Subscription Ends

Completed videos created in accordance with the BeatLuster Terms of Service may continue to be used within the permitted scope even if:

• You cancel a weekly or monthly subscription

• Your subscription ends or expires

• You delete the BeatLuster app

• BeatLuster is discontinued in the future

Accordingly, you do not need to remove YouTube videos, advertisements, client deliverables, or other completed works that were lawfully created before the subscription ended.

Can I use videos created with BeatLuster commercially?

Yes. Completed videos may be used for advertising and publicity, monetized videos, product or service promotion, client work, and other commercial purposes.

However, they may not be sold or distributed in a reusable form as stock footage, video materials, loop materials, templates, presets, or similar materials.

Can I monetize videos on YouTube?

Yes. The visual expressions provided by BeatLuster may be used as part of completed videos on monetized YouTube channels and other video-sharing services.

However, you are responsible for securing any rights or permissions required for the audio and artwork you use.

Can I use BeatLuster for advertising or promotion?

Yes. You may use completed videos to advertise or promote songs, artists, products, services, events, and similar subjects.

Can I use BeatLuster for client work?

Yes. You may create completed videos commissioned by third parties and deliver them to clients.

The client may use the completed video within the purpose of the commission. However, the client may not separate BeatLuster’s visual expressions from the completed video or use them as materials for reuse in another project.

Can I sell videos I create?

You may sell completed works created for a specific song, product, service, event, or commissioned project.

However, you may not sell them as stock footage, video materials, loop materials, templates, or other products primarily intended for reuse by third parties in other creative works.

Can I list videos on stock footage sites?

No. Videos containing BeatLuster’s visual expressions may not be sold or listed as reusable stock footage.

 

Can I distribute videos or loops as free materials?

No. Whether paid or free, you may not distribute them as video materials, background materials, loop materials, or other assets intended for reuse by third parties in other creative works.

 

Can I continue using videos I created after canceling my subscription?

Yes. Completed videos created in accordance with the Terms of Service may continue to be used within the permitted scope after your subscription ends.

 

Can videos created with free features also be used commercially?

The BeatLuster Terms of Service do not distinguish the permitted use of completed videos based on whether free or paid features were used. As long as you comply with the Terms of Service, you may use completed videos within the scope described in this Guide.

 

Do I need separate permission or approval?

No. By agreeing to and complying with the BeatLuster Terms of Service, you may use completed videos without making a separate application or obtaining written permission.

Can I post a video containing the BeatLuster Demo Track on social media?

No. The BeatLuster Demo Track is provided only for testing and evaluating BeatLuster. Videos containing this track may not be posted or distributed on social media or video-sharing platforms, provided to third parties, sold, delivered to clients, or monetized. If you plan to publish a video, please use another track for which you have the necessary rights.
